Why work for K&D?
The Company maintains an active Quality Service Initiative to study and improve the services provided to its customers. The OSI program includes internal and external surveys, telephone feedback calls and flow charting operational and administrative processes.
K&D employs about 150 people, of whom about 100 are field operators. Prior to being hired, employees are drug screened and driving records are checked. Substance abuse testing is also performed periodically in conformance with DOT and other regulations. Employees in the Romulus and Kalamazoo branches are members of the Operating Engineers Union, with which K&D has consistently enjoyed an excellent relationship. The Mansfield operation is organized by the United Steel Workers. The Midland and Grand Rapids offices are not members of collective bargaining units.
The Company offers its services with complete regulatory compliance at prices which are proven daily to be competitive. K&D has proven itself for 30+ years by stressing the Company’s service experience, 24-hour availability, equipment variety, practical skill, and by assuring the customer’s “peace of mind” through its handling of the waste in the proper manner. K&D prides itself on the range and quality of the services it provides.
As a matter of integrity and independence, the Company does not own or operate a disposal facility, act as a consultant/engineer or operate an analytical laboratory. K&D’s only concern is providing cost-effective environmental contracting, industrial cleaning and transportation services to its customers.
